Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to own and improve conversion performance across our publicly facing B2B SaaS marketing website.
Our product is evaluated by highly technical users--DevOps engineers, SREs, network admins, QA engineers, and software developers. This role requires strong technical literacy and the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with engineering-driven audiences.
This is not a strategy-only or managerial role. You will personally analyze user behavior, design improvements, adjust copy and layouts, implement changes, and iterate based on results.
What You'll Do
- Analyze user behavior across core marketing pages (homepage, product pages, pricing, free trial signup)
- Identify friction points and conversion drop-offs using quantitative and qualitative data
- Translate technical product capabilities into clear, conversion-focused messaging for engineering audiences
- Design and implement CRO improvements including:
- Page layouts and visual hierarchy
- Headlines, value propositions, and calls-to-action
- Navigation and user flow logic
- Create and run A/B tests where appropriate; apply best-practice improvements where testing is unnecessary
- Make direct changes in CMS and landing pages
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders when changes require review or coordination
- Track results and continuously iterate to improve conversion rates
Success Metrics
- Measurable improvement in visitor free trial conversion rate
- Reduced friction for technical users evaluating the product
- Clear, credible messaging that resonates with DevOps and engineering audiences
- Consistent delivery of conversion improvements, not just recommendations
Required Experience
- 3-6 years of hands-on CRO, growth optimization, or UX optimization experience
- Proven experience optimizing B2B SaaS marketing websites
- Strong balance of:

- Conversion copywriting
- Behavioral analytics and funnel analysis
- Strong technical literacy:
- Comfortable with technical terminology
- Understands how engineers evaluate tools
- Able to work with technical products without oversimplification
- Comfortable owning execution and outcomes
