Location: Austin, TX (On-site, 5 days/week)

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 + bonus (DOE), plus 100% paid benefits and PTO

Employment Type: Direct Hire

We are working with a client to identify a Controls Systems Engineer to support highly customized, state-of-the-art facilities. This role focuses heavily on Building Management Systems (BMS), with primary responsibility for maintaining precise HVAC and environmental controls across multiple properties (TX, NY, LA, and HI).

What You’ll Do

• Manage and troubleshoot BMS systems, with a heavy focus on HVAC (75% of the role)
• Ensure precise temperature control across complex, multi-room environments
• Work with Crestron systems to install, configure, and maintain control logic
• Troubleshoot system issues related to sensors, dampers, and hardware/software integration
• Support additional building systems including lighting, electrical, and access controls
• Participate in an on-call rotation (primarily remote support)
• Travel quarterly for 3–5 days at a time to support additional properties

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of HVAC experience
• 3+ years of experience with building controls / BMS systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC and control systems
• Experience with Crestron or similar automation systems
• Background in large-scale facilities, corporate environments, or high-end hospitality is a plus
