Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing and industrial automation, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Stamping, Automation, and Production Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and clear technical communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Coppell, Texas
Pay Range: $45 - $51

What’s the Job? 

  • Design, program, debug, and maintain Allen‑Bradley PLC systems for stamping equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, automation, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Apply and maintain compliance with GCCS (Global Common Controls Standards).
  • Support commissioning, startup, and validation of stamping presses and related automation.
  • Modify and optimize PLC, HMI, and safety programs for improved efficiency and safety.

What’s Needed? 

  • 3–7+ years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Hands‑on experience with stamping press controls and press automation.
  • Strong proficiency with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation software.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts.
  • Experience with industrial networks such as EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, or ControlNet.
