Position Overview
The Controller will lead the accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and serve as a trusted financial partner to ownership. This role blends hands‑on accounting leadership with strategic input, offering the opportunity to strengthen controls, modernize processes, and support long‑term business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger and month‑end close
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Partner with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
- Lead system improvements and process modernization initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
- Manage and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Hands‑on, process‑oriented mindset
- Comfortable working closely with ownership and senior leadership
- Someone who values stability but enjoys improving and modernizing systems
