Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a highly skilled Controller / Senior Accounting Manager to lead the finance function and oversee a small accounting team. This role is responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices.

 

Type: Direct Hire

Salary: 100K

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (NOT REMOTE)

 

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage the finance function and oversee a small accounting team.
  • Maintain financial ledgers, accounting processes, and internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Generate statutory and internal financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform budgeting, audits, tax, and other accounting functions.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Manage cash and treasury-related activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Production, Sales, Purchasing) on inventory, pricing, and reporting.
  • Prepare documents and reports as required by CPA or external auditors.

 

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Supervise direct report(s), including task delegation, performance monitoring, and career development.
  • Ensure staff adhere to company policies and procedures.

 

Additional Duties

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support organizational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Support cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures, regulations, and professional journals.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and general office software.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Expert-level computer and office equipment skills.
