Controller – Manufacturing (Onsite, South of Boston)

A fast-growing, global manufacturing company is looking to add a Controller who will take ownership of the accounting function and serve as a key thought partner to senior leadership. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting while helping guide the business through continued growth. The Controller will work closely with the COO and other leaders to support operational and strategic decision-making.

This is an onsite opportunity that offers a base salary up to $160,000 plus bonus! 

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and produce GAAP-compliant financial statements

• Oversee core accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, inventory costing, and internal controls

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities

• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate filings

• Identify and implement process improvements, including enhancements to ERP systems (SAGE preferred)

• Collaborate with operations and commercial teams on inventory management, pricing, and efficiency initiatives

• Build, develop, and mentor the accounting team

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment

• 3–5+ years in a Controller or senior-level accounting leadership position

• Strong command of GAAP, with deep experience in inventory and cost accounting

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAGE experience is a plus

• CPA and/or MBA preferred

• Exposure to lean manufacturing, ISO, or ITAR environments is a plus
