Key Responsibilities of the Controller

As the Controller, you’ll take full ownership of accounting operations while supporting executive leadership with timely financial insights. Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Oversight: Manage AP, AR, billing, and general ledger activities with a high degree of accuracy and integrity

• Cash Flow Management: Monitor bank accounts and cash flow to maintain financial health and ensure operational stability

• Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead the close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and timely delivery of financial statements

• Audit & Compliance: Oversee external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations

• Tax Management: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales, use, and other applicable tax filings

• Strategic Financial Analysis: Deliver detailed financial reporting and analysis to support executive-level planning and decision-making
  
  

What We’re Looking for in a Controller

The ideal Controller candidate brings a mix of technical expertise and leadership strength:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)

• CPA certification is highly desirable

• At least 3+ years in a senior accounting or Controller role

• Strong analytical skills, financial reporting expertise, and experience with forecasting and budgeting

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; ERP experience is a plus
