Controller
A well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Controller to lead plant-level accounting, cost, and inventory operations. The facility produces highly specialized, precision‑engineered components used in critical applications and supports both core product lines and diversified industrial work. The environment is stable, performance‑driven, and offers meaningful visibility into operations.
The Role
- Lead all plant accounting activities including month‑end close, cost accounting, and inventory management
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and inventory accuracy
- Produce daily/monthly KPIs, weekly flash reporting, and variance analysis
- Partner closely with the Plant Manager and operations leadership
- Support external audit requirements
- Manage two direct reports (AP + AR)
- Utilize Epicor ERP for reporting and analysis
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of accounting in a manufacturing environment (cost + inventory required)
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with operations
- Experience improving processes, tightening controls, and driving efficiency
