Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO on strategic financial planning.
  • Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations and other corporate policies.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, specifically Microsoft D365.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
