Job Details

This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and deliver meaningful financial insights to support organizational objectives. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of financial reporting and promoting fiscal responsibility across the organization.

Duties
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
  • Manage cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity and overall financial performance
  • Lead general ledger processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions
  • Conduct financial audits to evaluate internal controls and adherence to policies
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering growth and team effectiveness
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee all related reporting activities
  • Manage LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) projects as needed, ensuring adherence to guidelines
  • Support governmental accounting functions and ensure compliance with public sector standards

Experience
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background across multiple accounting disciplines, including:
  • Demonstrated experience in cash flow analysis and financial reporting interpretation
  • In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting practices
  • Experience in financial auditing and corporate finance
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is preferred
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience within an accounting team

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA or CMA certification preferred. Candidates should have at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a well-rounded understanding of both private and governmental accounting principles.
