Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

• Lead the company’s budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with ownership.
• Manage banking relationships, including credit line management, refinancing activities, and coordination with external auditors.
• Oversee full month‑end close, including bank reconciliations, general ledger oversight, and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance and reporting for sales tax and liquor tax.
• Oversee bills and payables, including systemized processing using Bill.com.
• Maintain financial accuracy, enhance processes, and ensure regulatory compliance across the business.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of accounting experience, or 15+ years of progressive experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in small business, manufacturing, hospitality, or similar fast‑paced environments is helpful.
• Ability to operate as a true strategic partner — direct communicator, resilient, and solution focused.
• Creative thinking with the ability to improve processes and challenge assumptions constructively.
