Job Summary
Join our team in Irvine, CA, a vibrant city known for its strong economy, diverse culture, and beautiful surroundings. As a Contracts Administrator, you will manage contracts of moderate scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies. You will oversee customer accounts, negotiate terms, and monitor contract performance.
Essential Functions
- Administer assigned contracts to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Define requirements, generate proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Oversee major and/or multiple customer accounts, interpret customer requests, and ensure compliance with contracts and agreements.
- Manage order entry, schedule changes, portal management, demand plan creation, customer communication, and PO/Contract review and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze performance requirements and customer purchase order requirements for moderately complex contracts.
- Determine proposal packages in response to contract or customer requirements.
- Initiate the bid process by identifying requirements and coordinating input from other functions.
- Negotiate contracts in accordance with legal and company regulations and policies.
- Investigate and resolve claims or complaints by collecting and analyzing information.
- Monitor contract financial performance and delivery status, determining the need for contract amendments or extensions.
- Act as the point of contact with the customer on assigned contracts and participate in customer presentations.
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge and comply with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations.
- Utilize lean principles to develop and implement standard work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. Contract management certification preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in contract administration or a directly related field.
- Knowledge of contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies.
- Experience with USG contracting processes and regulations.
- Proficient in standard business applications software and specialized in-house and customer systems.
- Ability to work within general work objectives regarding projects and team goals.
- Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and communicate with team members and management.
