As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for managing patient care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for your patients.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med Surg, oncology, and neurology units
• Administer medications such as heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
• Float between Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 during days/evenings and 1:6 at nights
• Ensure proficiency in caring for neurology and oncology patients
• Adhere to dress code: navy or black tops and bottoms, solids

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 months Med Surg care experience
• 18 months nursing experience in a hospital/medical center setting
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate (highly preferred, can obtain during onboarding)
• Current Iowa RN license and Nursys verification
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Professional references from within the last 24 months (preferred)
