As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care across various Med Surg units. Your expertise and compassion will be vital in managing a diverse range of surgical cases, excluding ortho and spine. With a patient ratio of 1:4/5 during the day and 1:5/6 at night, you will have the opportunity to provide personalized care and support to your patients.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg patients
• Administer and monitor drips such as amiodarone, dilitiazem, heparin, dobutamine, and milrinone
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical systems for documentation
• Float across Med Surg units as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Wear black or blue scrubs
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations

Requirements:

• Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license
• Minimum of 24 months of Med Surg experience
• Experience with equipment such as chest tubes, JP drains, 3-way foleys, and NG tubes
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• First-time travelers welcome
• Professional references from within the last 24 months preferred
