Are you a skilled Telemetry nurse eager to embrace your next challenge in a fast-paced environment? Do you have experience with surgical patients and thrive in a setting where your expertise can make a significant impact? Our healthcare partner is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their dynamic team on the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an acute care setting with a primary care nursing model, where you will be supported by virtual admission and discharge nurses, as well as LPNs.
As a Telemetry RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients with a variety of surgical and medical needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6 on night shifts and 1:5-6 on day shifts
- Providing care for patients with neuro, orthopedic, and general surgical conditions
- Utilizing EPIC for charting and documentation
- Interpreting telemetry strips and titrating drips per protocol
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Active RN license
- BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Proficiency in managing PCA pumps, TPN/Lipids, and narcotic usage
- Need 1 year experience in setting, with surgical experience required
- Must have total joint experience
