Following established project management standards, this position ensures that all third-party services (EPC, EPCM, and discipline-specific contractors) and equipment deliveries are executed within the critical constraints of time, cost, and performance. The role becomes highly engaged during the project Definition Stage and continues through Project Close-Out and Evaluation.
This is a key position for ensuring contract compliance, minimizing risks, and maintaining schedule integrity across complex industrial projects.
What You’ll Do
Contract Administration & Management
- Manage and administer all project contracts (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, and Construction)
- Maintain detailed contract documentation, correspondence, and audit trails to support claims and variations
- Monitor financial controls including bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, and insurance compliance
- Review contractor invoices against progress milestones and manage retention processes
- Coordinate with finance teams on cash flow and payment planning
- Maintain Procurement Status Reports (PSR) to track materials and equipment throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Proactively follow up with vendors and logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery
- Identify and monitor long-lead items, escalating risks and delays to project leadership
- Coordinate “free issue” materials supplied directly to contractors, ensuring proper documentation and transfer
- Manage formal change processes, including review of variation requests and issuance of instructions
- Maintain a project events register to track impacts on cost, schedule, and quality
- Support claim mitigation by preparing documentation and providing commercial/technical analysis
- Assist in resolving disputes through structured escalation processes
- Track defects during the Defects Liability Period and ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate warranty documentation with maintenance teams
- Support final contract close-out, ensuring all deliverables, punch lists, and financial items are completed
- Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in contract management within industrial, construction, or energy projects
- Solid understanding of EPC/EPCM project environments
- Experience with procurement tracking, expediting, or supply chain coordination
- Knowledge of contract frameworks such as FIDIC is highly preferred
- Familiarity with project controls (S-curves, Earned Value, scheduling concepts)
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline
- Ability to manage competing priorities across project teams
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset
