Job Summary and Qualifications

The Consulting Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, creating process flows, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement changes that drive positive business outcomes. The Consulting Business Analyst will also be responsible for data analysis, reporting, and providing insights to support decision-making.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyze and document current business processes and workflows.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

- Develop and implement solutions to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.

- Create process flows, use cases, and other documentation to support development efforts.

- Conduct data analysis and reporting to provide insights for decision-making.

- Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data.

- Elicit, document, and manage business requirements from stakeholders.

- Create detailed process flows, use cases, and user stories.

- Develop and maintain business requirements documentation.

- Collaborate with IT and other departments to design and implement solutions.

- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

- Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

- Participate in testing and validation of new systems and processes.

- Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

- Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

- 7 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING

- Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) - Preferred

OTHER SKILLS

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation.

- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

- Knowledge of software development methodologies.

- Strong understanding of business principles and practices.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
