Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Traveler Bonus: 15% weekly bonus in addition to base salary

Position Overview
System One is seeking a Safety Manager to support large-scale construction projects across the United States. This role is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and oversight of project safety programs across assigned job sites. The Safety Manager will help ensure compliance with company safety policies as well as all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. This position plays a key role in promoting a proactive, behavior-based safety culture among field teams including superintendents, carpenters, laborers, and other craft professionals. The Safety Manager will conduct site safety audits, lead safety trainings, and support incident investigations to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.
The position may support multiple job sites within a region or be assigned to a single large project depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel nationwide to support construction project sites as needed.
- Assist in maintaining company-wide safety policies and developing site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety audits to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and support jobsite safety initiatives.
- Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks for field personnel.
- Participate in and support corporate and project-level safety meetings.
- Support preconstruction planning by reviewing safety requirements and participating in preconstruction safety meetings.
- Serve as a trainer for safety programs such as Fall Protection, First Aid/CPR, MEWP, Forklift Certification, and Hot Work procedures.
- Perform hazard assessments and work with field teams to implement corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and assist with root cause analysis.
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and support site-wide safety coordination.
- Ensure proper use and availability of PPE and fall protection systems.
- Assist in maintaining safety documentation including OSHA logs, safety meeting records, and training documentation.
- Support project teams in planning safe means and methods for high-risk activities such as scaffolding, concrete operations, heavy lifting, trenching, and demolition.
- Stay current with evolving safety regulations and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
- Experience developing and implementing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), and Fall Protection Plans.
- Experience supporting safety programs on high-risk construction activities including scaffolding, concrete forming, trenching, and demolition.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites nationwide.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar professional safety certifications.
- OSHA 500 Trainer certification or experience delivering safety training programs.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
