Job Details:
We’re seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a growing commercial mechanical contractor delivering complex, high‑profile projects across commercial, institutional, and public-use environments. This role is for a PM who wants true ownership—financials, coordination, and execution—not just task management.
This position is ideal for a PM who has successfully managed commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout, understands how to control job costs, and can work confidently with owners, general contractors, engineers, and field teams.
What You’ll Do:
As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full life cycle of commercial construction projects, including:
Owning projects from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met
Preparing, reviewing, and managing estimates, budgets, and job cost forecasts, with a strong focus on financial performance
Utilizing FastEst to develop and manage accurate construction estimates
Leading coordination with general contractors, owners, engineers, and internal teams to drive execution
Managing subcontractors, vendors, and material procurement
Partnering closely with superintendents and field teams to ensure constructability, sequencing, and schedule adherence
Proactively identifying and mitigating risk, scope gaps, and cost exposure
Ensuring all work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
Providing clear, consistent project reporting and communication to stakeholders
Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting repeat business through successful project delivery
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
Proven track record of delivering projects from estimating through closeout
Hands‑on experience with construction estimating, with FastEst proficiency required
Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and sequencing
Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial performance
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong GC and client relationships
Confident decision‑maker who can solve problems in real time and under pressure
Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage teams and drive accountability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms (Procore or similar a plus)
Preferred (not required):
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
PMP or equivalent certification.
