We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a specialty contractor providing earthwork and site preparation services in the Midwest. This position oversees excavation and grading projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, job costs, and field coordination to deliver high-quality work for commercial and large-scale developments. The role requires strong field knowledge, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

• Base salary $100,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, with performance-based bonus opportunity
• Company truck provided

• Full-time, on-site at projects in the Omaha, NE / Council Bluffs, IA metro area

Responsibilities

• Manage site preparation and earthwork projects from startup to closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and field teams
• Review plans, specifications, and scope of work
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Track job costs, production rates, and change orders
• Communicate with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and field staff
• Ensure safe operations and OSHA compliance
• Conduct site visits and progress meetings
• Resolve field issues efficiently

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Construction Management (preferred, not required)
• 3+ years project management or project engineer experience in grading, excavation, utilities, or site development
• Strong understanding of earthwork operations, quantities, and production
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and estimating
• Proficient with Excel and construction software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
