A well‑established design‑build general contractor in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead ground‑up and interior renovation projects across commercial, light industrial, retail, and institutional sectors. This role offers long‑term stability, a collaborative culture, and project ownership from preconstruction through closeout.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage projects from kickoff through punchlist, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met
  • Oversee project financials: buyout, cost tracking, pay apps, contingency logs, change orders, and forecasting
  • Develop, update, and manage project schedules (MS Project or P6)
  • Lead procurement, contracts, scope reviews, RFIs, submittals, and material releases
  • Coordinate directly with design teams and owners in a true design‑build environment
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to plan site logistics, manpower, sequencing, and inspections
  • Facilitate OAC meetings and maintain proactive client communication
  • Maintain all documentation in Procore (or similar platforms) and drive QA/QC best practices

What You Bring
  • 5–10+ years of GC or design‑build experience delivering commercial projects
  • Experience managing $1M–$30M+ projects (ground‑up, TI, or a mix)
  • Strong proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and general construction software
  • Proven understanding of contract administration, cost control, procurement, and schedule management
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to manage owners, design partners, and subcontractors
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
