Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring projects are tracked according to all project metrics, such as schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client needs. Projects must be managed and administered in compliance with company policies and procedures, adhering to core values like client focus, integrity, passion for building, quality, safety, service, and technology-driven operations.
Responsibilities
- Understand the preconstruction process and its integration into construction.
- Participate with the Preconstruction team in estimate preparation, review, and subcontractor post-bid meetings.
- Effectively manage job set-up processes while following company procedures.
- Assemble teams and clearly establish team member roles and responsibilities.
- Facilitate kickoff meetings to review and agree on project procedures with all stakeholders.
- Assemble project closeout plans and schedules for completion, including turnover packages, training, and contract closeout.
- Create and lead a jobsite culture that prioritizes safety.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety manuals.
- Manage the financial health and success of projects.
- Support Corporate Finance objectives by providing accurate project financial reports.
- Establish project budgets and understand Owner Agreement requirements.
- Track and manage subcontractor change orders and project master schedules.
- Implement and facilitate the Last Planner System (LPS) and Quality Management Protocols.
- Oversee and manage the submittal, coordination, and BIM management processes.
- Resolve field quality issues and maintain alignment with subcontract agreements.
- Maintain business development relationships while building a network for future contacts.
- Promote a positive work environment and motivate team members.
- Participate in regional meetings and group activities, demonstrating dependability and thoroughness.
- Analyze and resolve complex construction process problems.
- Handle a varied workload and multiple priorities efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field is desired; a combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field or a related area required.
- Work experience in all disciplines of construction (civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) preferred.
- Experience with large commercial projects; healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology is desired.
- Ability to prioritize requests and manage projects to meet target delivery dates.
- Good judgment in addressing technical issues and effectively managing a team.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills in particular).
- Intermediate understanding of Procore construction software and scheduling knowledge of Primavera P6 is preferred.
