Construction Project Manager

Programmatic need being met by this request : The Project Manager will provide technical and project management support to integrate climate resilience considerations into Client-supported energy efficiency/building electrification projects. Serve as main climate resiliency point of contact for Client’s new Affordable Multifamily Program Upstate (AMP Up), designed to support a wide range of upstate affordable multifamily projects to improve their energy efficiency and move away from fossil fuels.

General Guidance for Expected Years of Experience: 3–6 years

What skills are needed to be successful in this role?

• Skilled in project management for design and construction projects, including:
– Experience creating/maintaining/tracking schedule and budget
– Experience reviewing and providing feedback on key deliverables
– Strong coordination skills dealing between multiple parties including contractors, building owners, and officials

• Knowledge or experience in design of residential and commercial buildings

• General understanding of climate resilient design concepts (e.g., extreme heat, wind hazards), including identifying and applying climate hazard datasets to understand project hazard exposure, best practice risk mitigation measures, and reviewing designs and specifications submitted by contractors to assess sufficiency of resilient design measures
