We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects and work alongside industry professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our construction projects, from budgeting and cost reporting to invoicing and compliance. This role requires a keen understanding of the construction industry, superior analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the financial integrity of our projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, cost reporting, and invoicing.
2. Manage the preparation and submission of applications for payment, including AIA Form G702 and G703.
3. Maintain accurate records of project costs, including change orders and lien waivers.
4. Monitor and report on the percentage of completion for each project, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
5. Prepare and submit monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports.
6. Manage the Notice to Owner (NTO) process, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
7. Use project management software such as Vista Viewpoint and Timberline to track project costs and progress.
8. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve any financial issues or discrepancies.
9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards in the construction industry, including SGAE 300.
10. Provide financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in using project management software, such as Vista Viewpoint and Timberline.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices, including SOV, change orders, lien waivers, WIP, percentage of completion, and AIA.
5. Experience in preparing and submitting AIA Form G702 and G703.
6. Familiarity with the Notice to Owner (NTO) process and SGAE 300.
7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
10. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
11. While not required, a Notary Public certification is highly preferred to streamline lien waiver processing.
