Construction Manager

Otak is looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to join our growing team! This is your chance to take your career to the next level by leading and inspecting multiple complex projects while collaborating with seasoned project managers to successfully deliver impactful public works infrastructure across the Metro area. We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings hands-on experience with ODOT projects, both in inspection and project management. This position may be based out of our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office.

What you'll do:

• Ensure site observations and weekly site reports are completed, tracked and properly documented.
• Review and interpret construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in resolving construction issues by clarifying plans and specifications.
• Submittal review to ensure contractor materials and products are approved and comply throughout the project.
• Respond to and coordinate RFIs.
• Assess and review change order requests.
• Process contractors pay applications.
• Assist project staff with technical construction-related issues.
• Opportunities to build skills and gain experience that may support future growth into project management.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in construction, technical, or design related fields.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Company vehicle will be provided.
• ODOT CGI, ADA Inspector, and Bridge Inspection certifications, or the ability to obtain each within six months of hire.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 per year
