Compensation: $95,000 base salary + potential performance incentives

Position Overview
The Local Construction Manager OSP will oversee day-to-day field construction activities supporting FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) deployment across the Las Vegas market. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leadership role responsible for driving safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of OSP construction work in one of the most complex fiber environments in the U.S.
This role is ideal for an experienced OSP construction leader who understands Vegas-specific construction challenges, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can effectively manage crews, subcontractors, schedules, and municipal coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Execution
Manage daily OSP construction activities across assigned FTTH projects in the Las Vegas market.
Oversee self-perform and subcontracted crews performing:
Microtrenching
HDD
Aerial construction
Splicing and testing
Hard and soft surface restoration
Ensure work is executed to engineering specifications, client standards, and municipal requirements.
Scheduling & Production
Coordinate short- and mid-term construction schedules with project management and field supervisors.
Track daily production, address bottlenecks, and escalate risks impacting schedule or quality.
Support accurate reporting of production quantities and field progress.
Safety & Quality
Enforce safety policies and ensure crews comply with OSHA, company, and client safety standards.
Conduct field audits and inspections to ensure quality workmanship and restoration standards.
Address safety incidents, quality issues, and rework promptly.
Municipal & Stakeholder Coordination
Support coordination with City of Las Vegas and Clark County inspectors and permitting offices.
Ensure crews are operating within approved permits, traffic control plans, and restoration requirements.
Assist with resident and business escalations related to construction activity.
Team Leadership
Directly manage field supervisors, foremen, and construction crews.
Provide hands-on coaching, accountability, and performance feedback.
Help onboard and train new field personnel as projects ramp.
Cost Awareness & Reporting
Monitor labor productivity, equipment usage, and material handling in the field.
Support project managers with accurate field reporting to aid cost tracking and invoicing.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
712+ years of OSP construction experience supporting fiber deployments.
Strong hands-on knowledge of microtrenching, HDD, aerial, splicing, and restoration.
Experience managing field crews in dense urban or municipality-heavy markets.
Working knowledge of Vegas ground conditions, permitting challenges, and restoration expectations.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, permits, and fiber designs.
Strong communication skills with crews, inspectors, and internal project teams.
Preferred
Prior experience supporting Gigapower, AT&T, or similar large FTTH programs.
Familiarity with Clark County and City of Las Vegas construction requirements.
Experience working in high-visibility or recovery markets following prior contractor issues.
