Our client, a global leader in technology and cloud innovation, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team. As a Construction Manager, you will be supporting the Civil Construction and Site Development Team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication, and advanced civil construction expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: La Porte, IN
Pay Range: $76 – $83/hr
What’s the Job?
- Oversee mass grading, earthwork, erosion control, and site preparation activities
- Ensure contractor compliance with drawings, specifications, SWPPP, geotechnical reports, and permits
- Coordinate geotechnical testing, soil management, proofrolling, and corrective actions
- Review schedules, daily work plans, and identify risks with mitigation strategies
- Provide reporting, field oversight, and enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards
What’s Needed?
- 10+ years of heavy civil and earthwork construction experience
- Expertise in mass grading, geotechnical coordination, stormwater/erosion control, and Midwest soil conditions
- Experience as an Owner’s Representative or Construction Manager with GC oversight
- Ability to read civil plans, specifications, geotechnical reports
- Strong documentation, communication, and contractor management skills
