Construction Laborer – Sewer (CIPP) Construction Crew with CDL License
Projects throughout PA, WV, VA & MD (travel required with company paid lodging)
Our Client, a well-established, family-owned underground utility construction company, is seeking a full-time, dependable, and hardworking construction laborer to join their Pipe Crew.
Must have a valid CDL driver license and reliable transportation to meet the crew at the project sites
Monday mornings. Typically, home on Thursday evenings.
Qualifications:
•1+ years of general construction/mechanical maintenance experience preferably working on Open Cut or Bursting Sewer line or Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining (CIPP) Mainline or Lateral projects
•1+ years as a pipe laying experience and knowledge of utility pipe work is plus
•Must be in good physical shape for fast paced, laboring construction environment, must be able to lift/carry 50lbs unassisted
•Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
•Must be able to report on time to job site location for each shift
•Valid CDL driver’s license (MVR will be reviewed for company insurance policy)
•CDL is highly recommended. Mandatory to obtain CDL upon hire. Company will train and assist if have permit
•Ability to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town projects
•Pre-employment background and drug testing required
Compensation & Scheduled Overview:
•Hourly rate: ** Most projects are paid at prevailing wage
•Most projects crew will meet at construction site early Monday then home Thursday.
•Overtime and 5+ days required at times. Must work overtime hours when required
•Company pays lodging if out of town

General Responsibilities:
•Daily manual labor. This is a labor-intensive job
•Loading and transporting materials and equipment to various job site locations
•Assisting in job site setup and tear down
•Operating specialized construction equipment safely, productively, and according to company policy
Maintain and submit accurate paperwork (timecards, logbooks, receipts, etc.)
Assisting crew members in the installation of utilities and services
•Assist in the breaking of blacktop/concrete roadways and sidewalks, digging the excavations by hand, cleaning of the underground pipe, tapping it and connecting to newly installed mains
•Completing various measurements. Operate air tools such as jack hammers, rock drills, and clay spades
