Construction Estimator (General Contracting / Commercial Projects)
We are seeking a detail-driven Construction Estimator to develop accurate, competitive bids across a variety of commercial projects, including tenant improvements, asphalt, concrete, and general site work. This is a hands-on estimating role focused on real-world construction—not design engineering—requiring a strong understanding of how projects are built from the ground up.
In this role, you will lead the full estimating process—from site visits and takeoffs to final bid submission. You’ll analyze drawings and specifications across civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical scopes, ensuring all costs are captured accurately. You’ll collaborate closely with subcontractors and suppliers, evaluate proposals, and identify best-value solutions while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop complete cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings
Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summaries, and input data into estimating systems
Review subcontractor bids and define clear scopes of work
Maintain historical cost data and validate estimates against project outcomes
Prepare bid reports and present pricing aligned with project requirements and conditions
What You Bring:
7–10 years of construction estimating experience in commercial/general contracting environments
Experience working on Mall Construction projects
Strong knowledge across multiple construction disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical)
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documentation
Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and estimating tools (e.g., ISQFT)
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight assignments
