Active California Bar + Recent California Experience Required

We are actively seeking a Construction Defect Defense Attorney with strong litigation experience to join our team. This is an urgent need for an attorney who can step into a busy caseload and contribute immediately. This role will focus primarily on construction defect defense, with additional exposure to personal injury and general liability matters. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing CD cases and is comfortable handling matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of construction defect and personal injury defense matters
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs
  • Handle written discovery and depositions
  • Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and experts
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Develop case strategy and manage files independently
  • Collaborate with a strong team of attorneys and litigation support staff
  • 1800 billable requirement with strong support staff and efficient workflow

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Construction Defect experience (DEFENSE REQUIRED)
  • Additional experience in insurance defense / personal injury defense
  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • Recent California litigation experience required
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court systems
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
