Construction Accountant
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project budgets, ensuring accurate coding of:
- Labor
- Materials
- Equipment
- Prepare monthly progress billings, including:
- AIA documentation
- Final invoices
- Collaborate with project teams on:
- Billing schedules
- Change orders
- Project financial performance
- Review and process subcontractor payment applications and vendor invoices
- Ensure receipt of required lien waivers and supporting documentation
- Assist with month‑end close activities, including:
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Support preparation of Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) reports and job cost analyses to identify:
- Cost trends
- Potential project overruns
Qualifications
- Construction industry experience with exposure to:
- Job costing
- WIP reporting
- Project‑based accounting
- 1–3 years of accounting or relevant accounting support experience
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze detailed financial and project data
