Concrete Construction Laborer/ Finisher

· Must be in good physical condition as the job involves lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods

· Some previous experience in Residential construction or concrete work,

· Familiarity with hand and power tools such as trowels, screeds, and concrete saws

· Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors

· Willingness to learn new skills and take on a variety of task related to concrete work

· Possess working knowledge of the precautions necessary to work safely with and around heavy equipment and public works equipment

· Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds

· Maintain all safety equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety vests, goggles, steel toe boots, etc.)

· Must be able to wear steel-toed boots

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America

· Successfully completed pre-employment background check

· The General Laborer/Finisher is generally responsible for assisting with the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete for various construction projects

· This work may include the removal of existing structures, and/or concrete repairs

· This work requires physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying possibly heavy objects

· Duties will require concentration and attention to detail for long periods of time

· This position will include indoor and outdoor work environments and is fast paced

· Candidate must be able to communicate well with others and proactively contribute to group objectives

· Setting up and dismantling concrete forms, pouring and finishing concrete

· Smoothing and leveling surfaces

· Using hand power tools to finish concrete

· Cleaning and maintaining equipment

· Moving materials

· Assisting with other concrete related activities as needed

· Follow all safety protocols and work in a team environment to ensure the successful completion of projects

· Understand and follow oral and written instructions

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance
