IT Field Technician (6-Month Contract)

Location: Base in Hendersonville, NC (Travel across WNC and Eastern NC)

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional OT)

Projected End Date: September 2026

The Opportunity

Join a vital healthcare IT team ensuring seamless operations across North Carolina. This position is open due to a successful permanent conversion-the previous contractor was hired directly by the client! We are looking for a reliable, mid-level technician to maintain this high standard of service.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT hardware deployment, desktop support, or asset management.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to configure and deploy hardware (including iPads) and manage the lifecycle of healthcare imaging devices.
• Reliable Transportation: Must have a dependable vehicle for daily travel to various clinical sites.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel to Asheville, Hendersonville, Forest City, Weaverville, Clinton, Goldsboro, Clyde, Marion, and Brevard.
• Note: Client provides accommodations/travel support for locations over 4 hours from Hendersonville.
• Compliance: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
• Strict Policy: Testing includes marijuana; the client does not permit use regardless of medical status.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware Deployment: Rapidly set up and configure hardware and specialized healthcare equipment.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the intake, configuration, and decommissioning of medical IT assets.
• Field Support: Travel daily from a central hospital hub to provide on-site technical assistance at various physician offices.
