Help us turn complex ideas into certifiable, repeatable composite parts
At Re:Build CR, LLC (Composite Resources)—part of Re:Build Manufacturing—you’ll help transform advanced designs into reliable, scalable production in Rock Hill, SC. We’re a fast-growing organization where ownership and accountability aren’t buzzwords—they’re how we win.
Imagine this
A customer needs rate-ready composite assemblies for a defense platform. You translate requirements into robust processes, validate them against special process certifications, and build airtight documentation. On the floor, you coach technicians, tune parameters to kill scrap at the source, and partner with Quality to lock in capability. Meanwhile, you coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers so the program transitions into serial production on time and on cost.
What you’ll do
- Own continuous improvement initiatives that raise safety, quality, cost performance, manufacturability, delivery, and customer value.
- Act as the primary technical expert and process point of contact for strategic customer accounts.
- Maintain required special process certifications and ensure organizational representation.
- Serve as a technical liaison with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to resolve daily production challenges.
- Lead new product introductions into serial production while controlling costs and protecting quality.
- Author clear process docs and work instructions that operators can follow without ambiguity.
- Support Composite Technicians to reduce/prevent scrap and increase part rate and yield.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years in engineering with demonstrated passion for composite manufacturing processes.
- Expertise with SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings/schematics; strong GD&T and tolerancing practice.
- Relationship-building skills with operators and peers; self-starter with strong personal workload management.
- Fluency in continuous improvement philosophy, methods, and tools.
Tools you’ll use
- Proficiencies: CAD Software; Mechanical Design & Engineering; CAD/CAM Software
- Core platform: CAD Software (SolidWorks)
