We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance Manager to join our Investment team for a fast growing real estate private equity firm. This role involves overseeing our company's compliance program, ensuring all departments adhere to legal standards and in-house policies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the industry's laws and regulations.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program across all departments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and interpret Land Use Restriction Agreements (LURAs), Regulatory Agreements, and Extended Use Agreements.
- Track affordability periods, extended use periods, Qualified Compliance (QC) and Post-Compliance (PC) eligibility timelines.
- Maintain a portfolio-wide regulatory tracker outlining compliance periods and restriction expirations.
- Identify properties approaching regulatory expiration or PC eligibility and communicate timelines to leadership.
- Regularly review company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance within the company.
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
- Revise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Compliance Manager, Compliance Officer, or similar role.
- Experience with the following certifications or equivalent work experience: HCCP, SCHM, NPCC, TaCCs.
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
- An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
- Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) certification is a plus.
