Job Summary
The Analyst, Compensation position is responsible for supporting compensation design and execution, including market research, program analyses, compensation system and process maintenance, variable incentive calculations and administration, equity administration, total rewards data integrity, and communication/change management support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General
Serve as an internal consultant to Corporate and Field HR professionals with regard to base wages, short-term variable, and long-term variable compensation (incentive) administration, and compliance support
Assist with questions related to pay program guidelines and procedures
Maintain internal and external compensation data, including data housed on BrightView networks and within third party partners/software such as Fidelity, CaptivateIQ, Workday, and Salary.com
Participate in third party compensation surveys, including data gathering, submission, and analysis of results
Participate in the development of internal compensation training materials for team members and management
Perform other compensation-related duties/projects as assigned/required
Short Term Incentive Plans (Variable Compensation)
Administer and support Short-Term Incentive programs (Bonus and Commission) including calculations, payment coordination, audit support, and general inquiries
Analyze the impact of the company’s financial performance on the incentive award programs, including coordinating with the Accounting and Finance Departments to ensure accruals and financial metrics data are accurate
Partner with Compensation Leadership and Compliance to maintain and publish incentive plans and other compensation-related documentation
Long Term Incentive Plans (Equity Administration)
Assist in administration of Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP/Equity) – including data integrity, reporting, reconciliations with Finance, and proxy support
Manage the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) - including communication, enrollment, benefit contribution coordination and purchase
Base Compensation
Administer the company’s salary structures, including position system design, job leveling, benchmarking, and assigning jobs to proper pay grades
Support annual merit increase process
Perform job analysis evaluations, including FLSA determination for hourly and salaried positions
Own job creation and maintenance processes, including system design, communications, audits, and job descriptions
Perform people/rewards data analytics, including overtime, tenure, wage inflation trends, and incentive ROIs
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Management, or related field
2-5 years of directly related compensation analysis experience
Strong in verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Word and intermediate/advanced Excel (Mail merges, Charts, Pivot tables, Formulas)
Must have hands-on experience researching, analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting large amounts of data
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers.
Frequent communication with vendors, business partners, and employees on topics of compensation programs verbally and in writing. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations, both in expression and comprehension
Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time
Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence
