As a member of the HCA Healthcare Change Management and Communications Team, the Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of communications both enterprise-wide and for targeted facilities undergoing implementation to drive awareness and alignment around Digital Transformation & Innovation and digital transformation initiatives and a culture of innovation. This position will work collaboratively across multiple HCA Healthcare organizations to communicate to diverse audience of corporate and field-based stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
- Work directly with Director of Communications to oversee the development, coordination and execution of communications strategies to support DT&I objectives
- Lead execution of the creation of communications plans and packages that support multiple DT&I implementations and large-scale change management initiatives from conception to implementation
- Develop adjustments and additions to existing implementation communication plans and packages
- Create and/or consult on communications materials for internal stakeholders in support of DT&I initiatives at HCA Healthcare facilities and corporate leadership
- Manage cross-functional colleagues and contractors (as needed) who assist or lead a facility communications plan
- Collaborate with Director of Comms to coordinate with division communications leadership to drive accountability of local communications activation
- Display excellent writing, editing and organizational skills to support implementation communications
- Proofread communications materials for consistency, adherence to style/messaging guide, and factual accuracy
- Monitor and report on key metrics for internal communication channels
- Collaborate with Director of Comms to build executive briefings on initiative updates to increase transparency with leadership
- Maintain DT&I media asset library including organization of and connectivity to required consent forms
- Provide visual design elements to communications projects as needed
- Align with Change Management colleagues to understand implications of facility-focused change activities that may require adjusted messaging, cadence and media vehicles as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments on communications materials to ensure content and messages are consistent with the organization’s writing style, voice and tone
- Support DT&I’s innovation initiatives at HCA Healthcare hospitals and further organizational goals as needed
- Performs other duties as directed by manager in support goals and objectives
- Collaborate with Director of Comms to oversee communication material development, deployment and presentation for HCA stakeholders to ensure that program vision and strategy is consistently conveyed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related relevant field
- Master’s degree preferred
- 8 or more years’ experience in communications or a related field
- Change management training, certification or licensing preferred
- Public relations accreditation (APR) preferred
- Position located in Nashville, TN
- Ability to travel up to 25% required
