Our client, a leader in the power generation industry, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be part of the Supply Chain Management department supporting strategic sourcing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Define sourcing strategies and develop roadmaps for mechanical components used in large gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.
  • Lead the Commodity Circle, managing commodities within your area of responsibility with support from cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement business-specific initiatives aligned with commodity and ecosystem strategies.
  • Negotiate, award, and manage strategic contracts and price lists with suppliers to ensure competitive and reliable supply chains.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identify procurement risks and opportunities, and drive cost-saving measures.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience or interest in supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, or engineering within machinery industries.
  • Strong strategic thinking and data analysis skills, with proficiency in financial decision-making techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP and productivity management tools; advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
