We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Start Up Technician to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be a key player in our construction projects, primarily focusing on data center construction. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a team of professionals who are dedicated to excellence and are at the forefront of the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Start Up Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the commissioning process for data center construction projects, ensuring all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the owner.
2. Implementing Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols to ensure safe working conditions during maintenance or repair activities.
3. Conducting quality control testing on data center equipment and infrastructure including power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
4. Performing load banking operations to test and validate the performance and reliability of power systems.
5. Ensuring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and building codes throughout the construction process.
6. Carrying out inspections of data center construction projects to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
7. Administering first aid and emergency procedures as required, maintaining a safe and secure work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Data center construction experience is preferred.
2. Proven knowledge and experience with load banking operations.
3. Certified Practicing First Aider (CPF) certification is required.
4. In-depth understanding of LOTO protocols and their implementation.
5. Excellent inspection skills with an eye for detail to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to data center equipment and infrastructure.
7. Solid understanding of quality control testing methods for data center equipment and infrastructure.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
