Required Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL SOLAR INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE!
Demonstrated experience in commercial solar installation management
Strong working knowledge of commercial PV systems, installation methods, and field operations.
Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite production
Experience with rooftop solar mandatory. Experience with ground-mount, and/or carport solar installations is a plus.
Ability to read construction plans, site drawings, and installation documents
Strong understanding of safety procedures, fall protection, and jobsite best practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required for projects
The Commercial Solar Installation Manager will oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial solar projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company and client standards. This individual will serve as the primary field leader for installation teams and will work closely with project management, electrical teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving efficiently from kickoff through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage field operations for commercial solar installation projects
Supervise installation crews, foremen, and subcontractors on active jobsites
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, staging, and daily workflow
Review plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution
Maintain project schedules and field productivity targets
Enforce safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and uphold OSHA compliance
Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize delays and rework
Ensure quality control throughout installation and closeout
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, inspectors, and internal teams
Complete daily reporting, progress tracking, and jobsite documentation

This is a key leadership role for a candidate with a strong background in commercial PV installation, crew leadership, jobsite coordination, safety compliance, and production management.

Texon Solar and 3K Energy Services have partnered to form a professional commercial solar installation company with projects across the United States. Current projects include two 3MW ground mount projects in Vermont, with other ground mount projects to follow in the NorthEast. The advertised postion is for four 400kw to 500kw re-roof projects in New Mexico. You will need to lead a crew in dismantling an active solar energy system, store all materials on site, and then move to the next project while the roofing contractor completes the re-roof. Once the roof is complete, return and re-install the solar energy system, mechanically and electrically. This is the start of a larger portfolio of re-roof projects in the SouthWest. We are looking for a reliable individual to lead a team of installers willing to travel for regular installation projects. Commercial Rooftop experience is mandatory for this position.
