A growing commercial roofing and building envelope contractor is expanding its San Antonio team and is looking to hire a Project Manager to oversee commercial roofing and waterproofing projects.
This role is ideal for someone currently working as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Production Manager who understands commercial roofing systems and wants to take on more ownership of projects.
Projects are primarily consultant-driven commercial work ranging from $1M–$10M+ and include a mix of roofing and waterproofing scopes.
Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing multiple commercial roofing and waterproofing projects from start to finish
- Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and production
- Coordinating field teams, superintendents, and subcontractors
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
- Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Visiting job sites to ensure safety, quality, and progress
- Attending preconstruction and jobsite meetings
- Tracking labor, material costs, and job profitability
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors
- Supporting and mentoring project coordinators or assistant PMs
Systems & Project Experience
Experience with commercial roofing or waterproofing systems such as:
TPO
PVC
BUR
Modified Bitumen
Metal Roofing
Below-grade waterproofing
Plaza decks
Expansion joints
Sealants
Parking deck waterproofing
Experience with both roofing and waterproofing scopes is highly valued.
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Experience managing or overseeing commercial roofing or waterproofing projects
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and project schedules
- Understanding of project budgets, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software such as Procore, PlanGrid, or similar
- Valid driver’s license required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
