Peterson Roofing, LLC is a family-owned commercial and industrial roofing contractor serving the Southern Tier of New York and Western Pennsylvania since 1940, specializing in commercial roof repair, maintenance, and roofing systems for schools, public facilities, and industrial buildings. 

What You'll Do as a Commercial Roofing Project Manager:

• Manage commercial roofing projects from contract through completion, coordinating crews, schedules, and materials.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements to ensure quality and compliance.
• Learn the estimating process, including quantity takeoffs, gathering vendor pricing, and preparing proposals, with hands-on training provided on the job.
• Coordinate material ordering, delivery schedules, and subcontractor services to keep projects on track.
• Visit regional job sites (typically within 1-2 hours) to monitor progress, address field issues, and uphold safety standards.
• Manage project documentation, including change orders, certified payroll for public projects, billing, and closeout requirements.
• Conduct final walkthroughs, complete punch lists, and secure manufacturer warranties.

Our Ideal Commercial Roofing Project Manager:

• Experienced: 3-5 years of commercial roofing experience required and 3+ years of leadership experience managing crews or projects. Strong understanding of low-slope roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen) preferred. Experience working with both public projects (RFIs, RFQs, submittals) and private negotiated work preferred.
• Leader: Communicates clearly with general contractors, public administrators, field crews, and foremen while guiding projects and resolving challenges.
• Organized Problem-solver: Detail-oriented with strong time management skills; able to juggle multiple responsibilities and keep projects moving forward.
• Adaptable: Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing company and stepping in where needed to support the team.
• Computer Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with PlanSwift and Adobe preferred.
• Active: Comfortable working on active roofing job sites and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

What We Offer Our Commercial Roofing Project Manager:

• $80,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience
• Performance bonus opportunities
• Full-time position, approximately 40-45 hours per week; typical 7:00 AM start (earlier when meeting crews on-site)
