Job Details

We are actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Litigation Attorney to join our fast-paced and growing legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing commercial/civil litigation for business representation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to identify and interpret laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities to prepare legal documents.
  • Represent the company in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
  • Provide counsel to clients on litigation risks and strategy, dispute resolution, and potential impacts on their business.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation and case law that may impact the company and its clients.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in New York
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on complex commercial disputes.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and court decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that preserves and enhances business relationships.
