Position Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can take ownership of cases and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney will manage matters from inception through resolution and play a meaningful role in litigation strategy, mentoring, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of commercial and complex civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
- Appear in state and federal courts and manage matters independently with minimal oversight
- Develop and execute litigation strategy aligned with client goals and case realities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical guidance
- Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate closely with firm leadership and staff
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, preparation, and client service
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar admission
- Significant experience in commercial litigation or complex civil litigation
- Strong courtroom presence and command of litigation strategy
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining attention to detail
- Business-minded approach to litigation and client relationships
