Job Details

Our firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team in Houston.

Our ideal candidate will complex commercial litigation and/or oil & gas litigation experience.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging cases, providing you with the chance to make a real impact while honing your legal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Developing effective litigation strategies to resolve business disputes.
  • Providing legal advice on antitrust laws, securities issues, business torts, and breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact clients.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless case management.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience in drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
