We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to handle complex commercial litigation matters in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of business operations and a proven track record in business litigation.
Responsibilities
As our Commercial Litigation Attorney, you will:
1. Conduct comprehensive case evaluations, identifying key issues and potential legal strategies.
2. Manage all phases of the litigation process, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
3. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies that meet clients' business objectives.
4. Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and evidence to support their case.
5. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and contracts.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to avoid litigation when possible.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in accordance with state and federal laws.
8. Stay updated on current legislation and case law, applying this knowledge to clients' cases.
9. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, courts, and opposing counsel, providing regular case updates and strategic advice.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar.
3. A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on first and third party insurance claims and breach of contract cases.
4. Exceptional negotiation, research, and trial advocacy skills.
5. A proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for clients in complex litigation matters.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear, concise manner.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
9. The ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
10. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
