Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of business insurance clients. This role is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating service needs, and supporting new and renewal business across multiple lines of coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a book of commercial lines accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients
Coordinate all aspects of client service including renewals, endorsements, certificates, and policy changes
Market new and renewal business by gathering underwriting information, preparing submissions, and negotiating with carriers
Review policies, endorsements, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Provide coverage analysis and recommend appropriate insurance solutions based on client needs
Work closely with producers/sales teams to support new business opportunities
Resolve client issues including billing discrepancies, coverage questions, and claims support
Maintain accurate records in agency management systems (e.g., EPIC)
Required Qualifications
3–7+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
Strong knowledge of coverages including:
General Liability
Commercial Property
Workers’ Compensation
Business Auto
Professional Liability
Experience with agency management systems (Applied EPIC preferred)
Excellent communication and client service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing mid-market or complex accounts
Prior brokerage experience
Exposure to marketing/placing business with carriers
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
