Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 base salary per year (based on education, skills, and demonstrated aptitude) + discretionary milestone-based bonuses + equity in the company

CostPlus Repairs is seeking elite-level Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technicians with 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise combined with exceptional customer service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair high-end gas, steam, and electric kitchen equipment including combi ovens, pressure fryers, commercial dishwashers, mixers, and rapid cook ovens

  • Service commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems

  • Troubleshoot and service advanced electric control systems

  • Lead installations and commissioning of new commercial cooking equipment

  • Mentor and train apprentice and junior technicians through hands-on shadowing, technical instruction, and professional development

  • Develop training curriculum and best practices that can be replicated across the organization

  • Manage escalated service calls requiring expert-level technical knowledge

  • Deliver hospitality-focused service that makes kitchen teams feel valued and supported

  • Demonstrate genuine care and professionalism for clients whose operations depend on reliable equipment

  • Serve as a role model for technical excellence, professional conduct, and customer service standards

Required Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • CFESA Certification (current certification or ability to obtain within specified timeframe)

  • 5+ years of professional experience servicing commercial food equipment

  • Demonstrated leadership and technical training capabilities with a proven track record of developing technicians

  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Ability to pass company drug screening and background check

  • Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
