We’re actively seeking a Commercial Estimator / Project Manager in Grafton, IL (just 45 minutes north of St. Louis) with a strong focus on preconstruction and estimating. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who enjoys the art of estimating and wants to partner closely with senior leadership to develop accurate bids and win exciting commercial and retail projects—including restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, and more.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Estimator / Project Manager position include:
- 5–10 years of direct commercial/retail construction estimating experience
- Develop comprehensive, competitive estimates from conceptual through final bid
- Analyze plans and specifications to understand project scope and identify cost-saving alternatives
- Create bidders’ lists, issue bid invitations, and solicit multiple subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Break down estimates by cost codes and prepare bid summaries for project handoff
- Lead and attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to gather accurate field data
- Assist in value engineering efforts when needed and present clear options to clients
- Collaborate with project teams post-bid for clarifications, scope tracking, and issue resolution
- Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including negotiable PTO and retirement, bonus opportunities, and a company vehicle after 90 days.
