The Commercial Interiors Project Manager oversees full lifecycle delivery of office interiors and K-12/higher‑ed school interior renovations across the Hartford, CT market, managing scope, schedule, budget, and vendor performance. This role ensures all spaces-corporate workplaces and academic learning environments-are delivered with high standards for safety, functionality, design intent, and end‑user experience.

Description



Project Leadership

  • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of office interiors, school interiors, classroom renovations, administrative spaces, STEM labs, media centers, and corporate build‑outs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, phasing plans, occupancy strategies, and swing‑space coordination, especially for occupied school sites.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, value engineering, bids, and procurement workflows.


Construction & Technical Oversight

  • Conduct site walks, punch lists, safety checks, and quality control inspections to ensure compliance with Connecticut state building codes and school facility requirements.
  • Coordinate RFI/CO management, drawing updates, submittals, material lead times, and installation sequencing.
  • Ensure proper integration of FF&E, technology, AV/IT systems, security components, casework, and specialty educational equipment.


Stakeholder, Vendor, & Community Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, furniture vendors, district leaders, facility managers, and end users.
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings and communicate updates to school administrators, corporate leadership, and municipal partners.
  • Navigate the complexity of working in occupied environments, including safety planning, noise control, and student/staff routing.


Regulatory & Compliance

  • Support permitting, inspections, and compliance with State of Connecticut Office of School Construction Grants & Review (OSCGR) standards when applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to ADA guidelines, life safety requirements, and educational facility best practices.
